Have you heard about ONE - the campaign to make poverty history.
It's amazing all the people involved, especially well known people!
It seems a bit double, on one hand they are making millions of dollars on the entertainment business. Which does not produce anything that helps anyone, well it makes people happy I guess that's good. Otherwise it only takes money from people, money that could be used on something that could help others. Okay this is not where I want to go, but it does make you/me think.
Where I wanted to go, is what is motivating all these people to finally do something? It seems like it is only the last few years people are really trying to do something to help others in need. Maybe the the whole "me me me" thing is over. We have found out it does not make you happy.
Not that long´ago I heard an elderly lady tell about her life. How she was raised in a very poor home and that she promised herself that she would not be poor when she grew up. Then she told that she did become wealthy, but empty inside and how she planed to take her life, but then God meet her. I know it's a story we maybe have heard many times, but she ended up selling everything and now living only to help others, motivated to give hope to other the way God gave her hope. I'm not able to tell her story good enough, but I understand her motivation.
What motivates me or you?
